Gursli Berg is a small, but serious publishing house. We want to publish the best literature available, and to present good authors who offer a great reading experience. We place strong emphasis on high-quality literature.

We publish books within a variety of genres. There should be quality in all aspects, and we work with some of the best in their field when it comes to authors, chefs, designers, photographers and translators. Our books are known for beautiful design and bindings.

Fiction should be a powerful experience, engaging and evoking strong emotions. We want passion and strong characters who touch and inspire. And who offer the inexplicable and existential in life. We are proud publishers of the Tracy Crosswhite series by Robert Dugoni, and the new fantasy series «The Red Abbey Chronicles» by Maria Turtschaninoff, to name a few. New Adult-queen, Colleen Hoover, is also one of our impressive authors.

Non-fiction must offer knowledge and commitment, and we are looking for writers who have important knowledge to share with the readers. One of the publishing house’s niches is to create books about food and beverage, usually combined with travel. Several of the self-produced cookbooks have been nominated for Cookbook of the Year. In 2014, Eyvind Hellstrøm’s Duft av Jul, was awarded Cookbook of the Year by NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. I 2016, Kok & Stek by the Culinary Academy, was awarded Cookbook of the Year in Norway (by Apéritif and NorliLibris). Gursli Berg Publishing was established in the fall of 2012, and publishes 6–8 books a year.
